#sltonceagainorganizedthecoolestdayever

01/29/2019

It was the second day after winter break. All the students loudly, grumpily or lately filed into the back room after arriving at school. The Student Leadership Team grinned excitedly at each other about to unleash the most monumental day of the year. Upon listening to their short and inspiring address, the first comments were, "When do we start! and "I'm cold." Each team quickly got together and started planning. Each of the teams had 6 to 7 members in them and the cultures were as followed; India, Japan, France, Greece and last but definitely not least, Barbados! As the weeks progressed, everyone seemed to be more animated about the thrilling event. Things started happening, from whispered conversations between secretive team members, to decorations being made and stands being built. Sleepless children drove to school the next day, eagerly though, to set up their stands in an attempt to be the best of the best of the best of the best of the awesomest.

The day progressed. The kids sat through the first zoom meeting that showcased One School's AWESOME potential, they sat there thinking, "Yes! This is true, we can do this!" Then they all burred their way out the door and served lunch. It was *mwaaah delicioso*. Sushi, rotties, curry, gyros, chocolate mousse. After all the bellies were filled, there was another zoom mtg and then finally, the skits.

As the skits went by, kids personalities emerged. It was hilarious. From worshipping sacred cows, to I AM A BAJAN being screeched at the top of their lungs, and bathing in the pool of Siloam. Tears were rolling down ppls cheeks and it was very comical....
