Seattle's Farm Field Trip!

Hello everybody! The Seattle Campus did the coolest Field Trip ever! And you are lucky enough to hear about it! We went to a place called the Swan's Hill Farm. The day started like any other. We awoke at the same time and got to school at the same time in (almost) the same clothes. We all assembled at school, including Kandice Markham who was visiting from the Kalispell Campus, and then boarded the cars for quick ride to the farm!

Did I say quick ride? My mistake! It was actually over an hour! When we got there, we couldn't see much of the farm, so we weren't quite sure what we were getting ourselves in for. As soon as we got out of the car, we had to get a group photo taken. So, we got that out of the way as quickly as possible and moved on to the important stuff. First, we were given a run-down of the Corn Maze. Then, we were split up into teams and each given a map by Farmer Karen. Then, we were all given a sheet to fill out along the way with information about Washington that was spread throughout the corn maze.

We then hopped into a large, covered wagon hooked to a tractor driven by Farmer Ben and sat on the hay bales distributed inside. We then traveled to Idaho (not really) and got a final briefing from Farmer Ben before entering the east side of Washington. It took us about an hour to collect all of our information and meet back in the 'Pacific Ocean' via 'Grays Harbor'. There, we regrouped and headed for the pumpkin patch! After picking the perfect pumpkin, we squeezed in one last bit of fun in the form of jumping pillows! Finally, it was lunchtime and after eating, we had enough time to see a few of the animals and make use of the hay slides before another hour long trip back home and here our story ends.
