Portland Students Visit Franz Bakery

The students in Portland visited Franz Bakery on Thursday for the Official Bakery Tour. For those of you not familiar with Franz Bakery, they are the large bakery in Portland Oregon that makes bread with their name on it, as well as other brands such as Winco Breads, and for fast food chains such as Wendy's, Carl's Jr. (Hardee's), Burger King, Subway, and Chick-fil-a. 

I can tell you it's quite something to step in a room filled with sesame hamburger buns sailing by on conveyor belts 20 ft in the air, or witnessing a gigantic mixer pounding and churning a lump of dough that could fill up the back of a pickup truck. Unfortunately (for those reading at least), no photos or videos inside the factory. We weren't even allowed to wear watches or any other type of jewelry.
