"P" is for Pumpkins, Pinecones and Painting!

10/15/2018

"Where's the white paint?" "Can I use that gold glitter please?" "Hey, that looks really cool!" These cries, and others like them, echoed throughout the school kitchen. The cause of these shouts were sitting on tables covered with newspaper. In front of each student, there was a pumpkin, pinecone, and of course paint splatters, paint pallets filled with every color of the rainbow, paintbrushes glopped with pigment, and glitter shimmering in the incandescent light.

On Tuesday, October 2, the SLT organized a Fall Arts and Craft activity for the students and teachers to enjoy. During collaboration, the students were allowed to express their creativity by painting and decorating pumpkins and pinecones. When Collaboration ended, students still felt like they needed to add finishing touches, so on October 15, during Collab., it all started again! Let's just say that next time, there is definitely going to be a broom and Clorox wipes handy!
