Bacon Day in Seattle

03/01/2019

On Friday March 1st, the Seattle campus celebrated bacon day. We ate caramelized bacon strips and even played bacon pong (a twist on a well-known game). Another fun activity that the elementary played at recess was Steal the Bacon. Steal the Bacon is a game in which the players are divided into two teams. Players are assigned a number which is shared by a member of the opposing team. The teams line up on opposite edges of the playing area, which has the "bacon" (in this case, a towel of which we attempted to write the word bacon on) in the center. A referee calls out a number, and the team members who have that number must run to the center, grab the bacon, and return to their teammates without being tagged by the other player with that number. The referee may also call "steal the bacon" in which all players on both sides may attempt to steal the "bacon." Overall, we all enjoyed eating and playing bacon-themed games! As they say, the only thing better than bacon is bacon wrapped bacon...
