History of Our Campus...

Eagle Crest Academy...  It all started one day back in 2004.  A property in Gothenburg, Nebraska, was purchased and an office building made out of 4 trailers was moved in.  One teacher was hired, 10 students were selected and a school was born!  All of the students had class in the same room with one teacher.  Then, in the 2007-2008 school year VC's were installed and changed the ways of the students and teachers alike.  They were now able to connect to other sites, students and teachers!  Before long, 5th and 6th grades were added in 2011.  The one teacher and three kids took up one room in the back of the school.  Then the next year, Eagle Crest Academy renovated another building they had purchased right next door and 3rd and 4th grades were added.  This brought in 6 more kids and one other teacher.  All elementary was moved to the other building, better known as the "downstairs" and has grown since to even include one 2nd grader!

Throughout the years we've have had 12 teachers, (the most at once being four) and 36 students in all, (the largest amount at one time being 18).  Our name has changed from Eagle Crest Academy to Sterling Central Gothenburg Campus in the 2013-2014 year, to Sterling West Gothenburg Campus in the 2014-2015 year.  Our school has grown from having 1 teacher and 10 kids to now having 4 teachers, 16 students, and 2 different buildings!
